Practicum in Business Management provides students with supervised practical application of previously studied knowledge and skills in a real-world setting. Practicum experiences may be paid or unpaid and occur in various locations suited to the student's level of experience. Students will use interpersonal skills to enhance their workplace performance, facilitating a smooth transition to the workforce or postsecondary education. The course focuses on applying technical skills to emerging technologies in business while enhancing reading, writing, computing, communication, and reasoning skills. Students will incorporate a comprehensive understanding of the legal, managerial, marketing, financial, ethical, and international aspects of business to make informed decisions. Open to grade 12, this course offers 2 credits and requires Business Management as a prerequisite.
